Manchester Labour Manifesto 2022
Manchester is a great place to live, to work and to thrive. Manchester Labour wants to make our city even better.
Throughout the difficulties of the pandemic and now a Conservative Cost of Living Crisis, Manchester Labour has always been by your side.
Despite a decade of cuts to Manchester from the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats, which saw the Council’s budget cut by over £420 million, Manchester Labour has continued to deliver for Manchester.
Manchester Labour is setting out our plan for the next 12 months with clear and deliverable actions.
Manchester Labour’s new Leader, Councillor Bev Craig said:
“I am proud to lead the best city in the world. Manchester Labour has an ambitious plan to make our city even better. A successful city that puts Manchester people first, and where everyone benefits from its success. A plan to create good quality jobs for Manchester residents and build over 10,000 new social and genuinely affordable homes. A plan that invests in our communities, makes Manchester cleaner and greener, that tackles poverty and inequality, that supports those in need, and that leads to way on tackling the climate emergency. Your priorities are our priorities, and we will always put you first.
The Conservative Government, and the Coalition of the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats before them have failed our city. After a decade of cuts, Boris Johnson and the Tories partied their way through the pandemic, while Manchester people followed the rules, now Conservative decisions are forcing a Cost of Living Crisis on the City.”
On May 5th the choice is clear.
Vote Labour to send a message to the Conservatives that the party is over.
Only Manchester Labour has a credible plan to make our city cleaner, greener and safer and to build a city that is fairer and better off in every way.
