Councillor for Withington
Rebecca has proudly represented Withington ward since 2014, winning the marginal seat for Labour from the Lib Dems. As a councillor, Rebecca has focused on grassroots, community campaigning; leading the charge against rogue landlords, working tirelessly to save local services from closure and securing much-needed investment into Withington, Ladybarn and South East Fallowfield.
Along with Labour Party activism, she is also a member of UNISON and the Co-operative Party. She serves as a school governor at Mauldeth Road Primary School and actively participates in local residents groups. On Manchester City Council, she sits on the Resources and Governance Scrutiny Committee.
Outside of politics, Rebecca works in public affairs and campaigning for a national health charity. She lives in Ladybarn with her partner and their pet cat.
